William Karl Mittelstaedt October 28, 1936 - October 19, 2014

William "Bill" Mittelstaedt, age 77, of Waseca died on October 19, 2014 at Colony Court Assisted Living in Waseca following an extended illness.

Memorial services will be on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, with Pastor Paul Muther and Reverend Larry Griffin officiating.

Visitation will be held at the church two hours prior to services on Thursday.

Arrangements are being completed by the Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville, MN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, MN. William Karl, son of Heinz and Gertrude (Mueller) Mittelstaedt was born on October 28, 1936 in Waseca, MN. He attended school at Trinity Lutheran School in Janesville. Following his schooling, he served in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Marcia Miller on June 21, 1961 at Zoar United Church of Christ in Waldorf, MN. He was a lifelong dairy farmer, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved playing cards and spending time with his family and friends.

Bill is survived by his sons, Mark (Lynn) Mittelstaedt of Waseca, Mike (Lori) Mittelstaedt of Janesville, Scott Mittelstaedt of Owatonna, and Steve (Shawnda) Mittelstaedt of Virginia, MN; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister, Marsha Anderson of Waseca; five nieces and nephews; and by many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marcia Mittelstaedt; sister, Ruth Mittelstaedt; and brothers-in-law, LaMarr Anderson and Charles Miller.
