Violet Mildred Price, the daughter of Ralph and Mildred (Gager) Price, was born on July 16, 1922 at her family farm near Cresco, Iowa. Violet attended high school in Cresco, IA and after high school attended classes to earn her teaching certificate. During this time she met her future husband Donald Greenslade and they were united in marriage on November 16, 1941 in Lucerne, Missouri. Violet taught country school for approximately 2 years north of Cresco, IA near Granger, MN. They would move to California for a short time, only to return to Cresco, where they rented a farm. Later they purchased a farm in Ridgeway, IA. In 1954 they moved to Cannon Falls, MN, where they purchased a farm and lived for many years. During this time she was a full time wife, mother and also helped on the farm. When they retired they moved to Texas for several years and in 1999 moved to Navarre, FL. In 2006 they moved permanently to Faribault. Don preceded her in death on August 4, 2006. Nothing was more important than family and friends to Violet, she loved to visit. But she also liked to read her Bible, crochet and knit until arthritis no longer allowed her to do so. When her husband Don was alive, they enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, going out to eat, trout fishing and traveling extensively in their motor-home (especially to Montana). Last, but far from least, "Little Red", her loving poodle and faithful companion was always by her side. When she lost "Little Red", there was a BIG void in her life so her daughters bought her a cat named "Demi". She is survived by six children, Elaine (Roger) Dack of Northfield, MN, Gary (Pat) Greenslade of Navarre, FL, Allen (Lisa) Greenslade of Faribault, Darrell (Pam) Greenslade of Winter, WI, Duane Greenslade of Randolph, MN and Vickie Stadler of Faribault; by 16 grandchildren, Blair Dack, Kimberely George, Troy Greenslade, Stacey Pumper, Jeff Greenslade, RaNae Cemensky, Allen Jr. II Greenslade, Eric Greenslade, Adam Greenslade, Camey Stadler, Traci Greenslade, Ryan Stadler, Amy Greenslade,
