Victoria L. "Vicki" Staloch, age 65 of Waseca, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, November 15th at 2:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Fr. Marty Schaefer, Celebrant.

The Staloch Family will greet friends Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M. at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Waseca, and will continue on Thursday afternoon for one hour prior to services, at church. There will be a 4:00 P.M. Catholic Daughter Rosary Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials in Vicki''s memory may be directed to Smile Train (www.SmileTrain.org).

Victoria Lee was born January 25, 1947 in Webster City, Iowa to Forrest and Helen (Arend) DeFrance. Vicki attended Marshalltown High School in Marshalltown, IA, and graduated with the class of 1965. She went on to earn B.A. Degrees in Elementary Education and Art from Mankato State University. On August 16, 1969 Vicki was united in marriage to James M. Staloch in Marshalltown. They resided in Winnebago where Vicki taught 5th grade. In 1974 they moved to Waseca to follow Jim''s law enforcement career. Vicki was instrumental in starting the Early Childhood Development Program in Waseca. She then served for many years as director of the Neighborhood Service Center in Waseca, and later as director for the Exchange Club For Family Unity in Owatonna. Vicki and Jim also owned and operated Heavenly Home Baked Pizza for several years in Waseca. Vicki was a faithful volunteer in the Waseca Community with many organizations, including; Crime Victim Advocacy Board, Waseca School Board, Waseca City Planning and Zoning, University of Minnesota State Ag. Extension Advisory Board, served as Waseca County Guardian Ad Litem, and countless others. Vicki was proud to have been the first recipient of Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce''s Human Rights Award''. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, and the Catholic Daughters of The Americas-Court Sacred Heart #1424.

She is survived by her husband, Jim of Waseca; sons, Matthew (Darcy) Staloch of Osakis, Mark (Courtney) Staloch of Dassel, Micah (Liv) Staloch of Mankato; daughter, Ann (Steven) Fitch of Waseca; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Morgan, Luke and Seth, all of Osakis; mother, Helen DeFrance and brother, Lon DeFrance, of Plano, TX; brother-in-law, Tom (Judy) Staloch of Winnebago; sister-in-law, Marie (Lynn) Olson of Amboy; aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Marcella Staloch.
