Travis Jordan, "T.J.", age 36, of Minneapolis, died Friday afternoon, November 9, 2018, at his home.

A Service of Remembrance will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 17, 2018, with a Gathering of Family and Friends to follow until 2pm all at Starkson & Steffel Funeral & Cremation Service ~ McRaith Chapel of Waseca.

Travis Matthew Jordan was born on July 31, 1982, in Honolulu, Hawaii to Florine (Jordan) Ching. He grew up in Honolulu, graduating from Kaimuki High School and continued his education at Kapiolani Community College. Following his education, TJ began working in the Food and Beverage Industry as a Sommelier in Hawaii. In 2012, TJ moved to Minneapolis where he helped various bars and restaurants as a Mixologist, building relationships and making many friends along the way. He was an avid surfer while living in Hawaii. He enjoyed skateboarding, drawing, animals and above all else entertaining, bringing his Aloha to Minnesota in every form of the word. His family will fondly remember the Love, Patience and Understanding that he shared throughout his life. Blessed be his memory.

TJ is survived by his mom, Flo (Jordan) Ching of Waseca; girlfriend, Taren Vang of St. Paul; brother, Anthony "Kimo" (Leah) Ching of Wailuku, Maui; aunts: Lei (Dick) Gahler of Waseca and Jackie (Charles) Jordan of CA; cousins: Malia (Munya) Nzara of Minneapolis and Matthew Gahler of New York City; his son; aunts, uncles, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Shigeko and James Jordan.
