Stanley J. Flicek October 22, 1920 - January 12, 2014

Stanley John Flicek, age 93 of Morristown, passed away peacefully, January 12, 2014, at the Waterville Good Samaritan Center, surrounded by his family.

Private services were held and interment was at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault.

Stanley John, son of Albert and Anna (Kuchinka) Flicek, was born October 22, 1920, in Lanesberg Township, Le Sueur County, MN. Stanley was united in marriage to Jackie Frechette in 1941 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault. Together they raised 8 children. During World War II, Stanley worked for the military in the shipyards for 4 years. He farmed in rural Morristown and also worked as a sheet metal worker for Bob Nichol and later Lockerby''s in Faribault. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local 10 for 60 years. He retired in 1976. Stanley loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He also enjoyed fishing, bird watching, gardening, dancing and playing cards.

He is survived by his eight children, Jean (Danny) LaCanne of Faribault, Carol Reither of Neillsville, WI, Shirley Flicek of Defuniak Springs, FL, Susan (Jim) Melchert of Waterville, Phyllis (Delbert) Voegele, Marg (Dan) Melchert, Nancy (Danny) Morris, and Bob (Donna) Flicek all of Morristown; by 24 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law; Radford Reither, and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jackie, grandson Matt Reither, many great grandchildren, brother in-law Henry (Stella) Flicek, three sisters Bessie Holicky, Eleanore (Louis) Chlan, Marcella (Clarence) Busta, and by Jim Herring.

The family prefers that any memorials be given to the donor''s choice in memory of Stanley.
