Shirley Snow

Shirley Snow
'Shirl' was the oldest of 7 siblings. A Norwegian farm girl who worked hard all her life. Remembered for sour cream cookies, lefsa, teapots, quilts and a welcoming home.

You may have met her in school in Waseca or perhaps at work at Loe's Truck Stop, EF Johnson, Birds Eye, The Creamery, or lastly The Salvation Army. She eloped in 1957 with HC (Ray) Snow and together they raised 3 children, lots of vegetables, the roof off the barn with barn dances and some money managing a motel in Texas to build their dream house. After Ray died in 1985, mom continued to do things she loved and was later joined by her companion, Bob. Together they traveled, tended the woodstove and wildlife and took care of one another. We will celebrate 80 years of life on Sunday December 11, 2016 from 2-5PM at the Kinder-Dennis Funeral Home 109 3rd Street NE Waseca, MN.

Shirley is survived by son Keith (Jo) Snow St Peter MN; Daughters: Elizabeth (Dave) Hageman Mankato, MN and Kathryn (Ed) Berry Altura, MN. A large extended family which includes her 13 grandkids and 19 great-grandkids, cousins, nieces and nephews and her siblings: Ruth Eustice, Eleanor (Gary) Lienke, Judy Koziolek, Mona (Butch) Furst. Companion Bob Cahill, Waseca, MN and his children and extended family.

Shirley will be re-united with parents Leonard and Stella, husband Ray, sister Annie, brother Larry, brother-in-laws Dick Eustice and Marv Koziolek. Daughter -in-law Carole Snow and Son-in-Law Jeff Schubbe.

We appreciate and acknowledge the love and support from friends, family and care team at MCHS.
