Sherry L. Forcelle, age 67, of Faribault, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2011 surrounded by her family at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault following a longtime courageous battle with polycystic kidney disease. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour in Faribault, with Very Rev. James Zotalis, Dean of the Cathedral, Rev. Henry Doyle, and Deacon Bonnie Holt, officiating. Inurnment will be at the Cathedral Columbarium. Memorial visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault on Tuesday from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday for one hour prior to the services in the Cathedral Cloister. Sherry Lee Warmington, the daughter of Harry and Hilda (Glende) Warmington, was born on November 11, 1943 in Faribault. She graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1961. She was married to Dale Forcelle on April 8, 1961 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. Sherry worked in bookkeeping for many local businesses, including Tempo, Faribault Daily News, Farmer Seed & Nursery, and C & S Vending. She also worked at Wells Fargo Bank in Faribault for 12 years, retiring in 2004. Sherry enjoyed sewing and was known for making baby blankets for many newborns. She cherished her time with her family and grandchildren, which included one of her passions, shopping. Sherry enjoyed holidays with her family and especially made Christmas a special time for her family. Sherry was a member of the Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour, active in many capacities, including serving soup lunches. She is survived by her husband, Dale of Faribault; three children, Scott (Lynette) Forcelle, Tammy (Bryan) Lips, and Christopher Forcelle (and special friend, Stephanie Stadler), all of Faribault; seven grandchildren, Bradley, Daniel, Ashley, and Jenna Forcelle, Karrie and Jill Lips, and Jason Felix; three brothers, Bill (Jan) Warmington of Faribault, LaVern "Fuzzy" Warmington of Faribault, and Gary (Reenie) Warmington of Mankato; sister, Carolyn Litsheim of Faribault; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Dean Warmington.
