Selma Lynch, age 90 of Pemberton, died on Monday, September 29, 2008 at the Mankato House Health Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Clair with Fr. Robert Schneider officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery following services. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home in Janesville, and will continue on Thursday morning for one hour prior to services, at church. Selma Marie was born on September 13, 1918 in rural Mankato to Alois and Pharilde (Willaert) Jongbloedt. Selma attended Ss Peter and Paul Parochial School in Mankato. On November 12, 1947 she was united in marriage to David Louis Lynch at St. Peter and Paul''s Catholic Church in Mankato. Selma and David farmed and raised their family in McPherson Township, Blue Earth County. She was a longtime active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Clair. Selma enjoyed gardening, quilting, embroidering, ceramics, traveling, and time spent with family and friends. She is survived by her sons, Allan (Ella) Lynch of Mapleton, and David (Marilyn) Lynch of Pemberton; by her daughters, Rita O''Neil (Steve) of Largo, Florida, Bonnie Oddy of Brooklyn Center, Linda Lynch of Pemberton, and Mary Miller of Pemberton; by 12 grandchildren, Todd Lynch, Scott Lynch, Tracey Oddy, Matthew Lynch, Brian Oddy, Michael Lynch, Mark Lynch, Patrick Miller, Jason Miller, Sally Mock, Megan Etienne, and Heather Lynch; by 15 great grandchildren, Thomas Lynch, Alyssa Lynch, Emily Lynch, Devon Lynch, Kelton Lynch, Kirston Lynch, Kaylon Lynch, John Lynch, Madison Lynch, Julieann Lynch, Ashlie Oddy, Stephen Oddy, Camryn Oddy, Jonathan Conyers, and Kelsie Conyers; by her brothers Albert (Lila) Jongbloedt of Mankato and Maurice (Charlotte) Jongbloedt of New Richland; by her brother-in-law, Hector Seys of Mankato. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband David on April 8, 2007; by three sisters and one brother.
