Rolland J. Bourassa, age 84 of Waseca, died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 27th at 11:00 A.M. at Christ The King Lutheran Church in Waseca, with Rev. Cary Larson, officiating. Interment with military honors will be in Waseca''s Woodville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service, at Christ The King Lutheran Church in Waseca. McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Waseca is handling arrangements.

Rolland Joseph was born May 1, 1928 in Bemidji, Minnesota to William and Lillian (Slais) Bourassa. He attended schools in Bemidji, New Richland, and Waseca. Rollie served his country during WWII, and from 1946 to 1947 was a member of the occupied forces in Japan. Over the years Rollie''s work took him to Illinois, Wisconsin, and California. In Waseca he was employed with Corchran Inc, Herters, and the University of Minnesota- Waseca. He was united in marriage to Alice Jellema on March 6, 1982 at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca. Rollie retired from the University of Minnesota-Waseca in 1992. He was a life member of the Waseca V.F.W. Sweet-Sommers Post #1642, Waseca American Legion Post #228, and Retired State Employees Program-Chapter 6.

He is survived by his wife, Alice of Waseca; children, Todd (Kate) Bourassa of New Richmond, WI, and Karen (Ken) Anderson of Belle Plaine; step-children, Gene (Cindy) Tonne, and Deb (Kenny) Allen, all of Fairmont; 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, and 2 step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Nathan (Josephine) Bourassa, and his brother William at infancy.

Casketbearers are: Mike Mullen, Steve Bourassa, Justin Bourassa, Charlie Hager, Josh

Allen, Ken Anderson, and Jim Jellema.
