Roger A Schema

Roger A. Schema March 16, 1952 - June 22, 2013

Roger A. Schema, age 61, of West Concord, MN and formerly of Faribault entered into eternal rest in the early morning on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, in Faribault. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to services.

The family prefers that memorials be directed to the donor''s organization of choice in memory of Roger.

Roger Arthur, the son of Roger F. and Geraldine (Schuller) Schema, was born on March 16, 1952 in Faribault, MN. Roger started farming at a very early age along side his father. As time went on he ventured out on his own, by purchasing a milk truck and milk route. He hauled can milk back in those days. As time went on he stopped hauling milk and sold his route and began farming full time. As his farming operation grew so did his love for the land, so any profit that came his way he always put it back into acquiring more land. Once his brother Mike became old enough he joined Roger in the farming operation and at this point Roger named their farming operation Schema Farms of Southern Minnesota. Thus started the legacy of Schema Farms and Roger''s love for farming will live on through his family. On his off time in the summer he enjoyed hauling canning crops for many years, first for Faribault Foods and later on in life he hauled for Birds Eye and Seneca Foods. Once harvest was done in the fall and the weather became colder Roger enjoyed going south or west to escape the cold and enjoy some January sunshine. He especially loved going to the state of Texas. That is where he married the love of his life Kim. Roger enjoyed rock and roll music especially "The Doors" and he loved old movies, old western shows and WWE and TNA wrestling.

He is survived by his wife Kimberly J. Schema of West Concord, MN; by his sister, Cheryl (Willard) Peterson of Owatonna, MN; by his brother, Michael (Susan) Schema of Faribault, MN; by three step children, Jason C. (Dawn) Karsten, Brandon J. Karsten and Trisha M. Karsten, all of Owatonna, MN; by three grandchildren, Lane Karsten, Kate Karsten and Evan Karsten all of Owatonna, MN; by his mother-in-law, Eileen M. Larson of Owatonna, MN; by four brothers-in-law, Richard (Sandy) Mielke of Anoka, MN, Mark (Julie) Mielke of Owatonna, MN, Jim (DeAnn) Larson of Medford, MN and Al (Wendy) Larson of Blooming Prairie, MN; by his sister-in-law, Patti (Jack) Weiland of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; by his niece, Brenda (Christoph) Bednar of Owatonna, MN, by his nephew, John Schema of Faribault, MN; by two great nieces, Mattise and Chloe Bednar of Owatonna, MN, by his great nephew, Julian Bednar of Owatonna, MN and by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger F. and Geraldine Schema, by his father- in-law, Dean A. Larson and by a grandson, Alex J. Karsten.
