Robert J. Healy, age 82, of Faribault, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at his home following an extended illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault at a later date.

Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Robert James Healy, the son of John and Frances "Nora" (Cashin) Healy, was born on September 20, 1930 in Shieldsville Township, Rice County, MN. He graduated from Bethlehem Academy in 1948 and St. John''s University in 1952. Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1953 until his honorable discharge in 1955. He was united in marriage to Betty Lockwood on June 27, 1959 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. After his military service, Bob joined his father in the construction business building houses. In 1960, he transitioned the business to commercial construction and incorporated Healy Construction. Bob was active in the business until 2005. He and Betty enjoyed wintering in Florida and their summers at Roberds Lake with their children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed travelling, especially to Ireland. Bob loved to read about history and anything to increase his knowledge.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Healy of Faribault; sons, Mike (Melissa) Healy of Faribault, Bill (Katie) Healy of Faribault, and Tom (Sherry) Healy of Prior Lake; eight grandchildren, Alison, Robert, Jack, Emily, John, Tom, Ryan, and Molly; sister, Marie (Don) Jasinski of Faribault; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gavin Healy; parents; brothers, Edmund and J. William Healy; and sisters, Marion Healy and Helen Meese.
