Richard (Dick) J. Roessler August 11, 1945 - August 5, 2013

Richard (Dick) John Roessler, age 67, of Blooming Grove Township, Waseca County, MN, passed away Monday, August 5, 2013, at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of The Sacred Heart, Waseca, MN, Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at 1:00 PM, with Father Gregory Leif, officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Waseca, MN.

Family will greet guests Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass, at church.

Arrangements are being completed by the McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Waseca, MN.

Richard was born August 11, 1945, at the Waseca Memorial Hospital, Waseca, Minnesota. He was the second child born to John Elwood and Genevieve Agnes (Jewison) Roessler. He was baptized and confirmed at the Church of St. Andrew, Elysian, MN. He graduated from Waterville Elysian High School with the class of 1963. He then attended Mankato State College, Mankato, MN, and served in the United States Army Reserves, Faribault, MN.

On July 1, 1967, he was united in marriage to Karen Marie Miller at the Church of The Sacred Heart, Waseca, MN, by Father Dennis Schimek. Their children and spouses and grandchildren are: Kellie Jene Roessler-Moseley (Jack and Ben), Timothy John Roessler and Amy Arndt (Aaron, Andy, Avery), Lynn Richard Roessler (deceased), Peter Lynn Roessler and AmyJo Dillon (Cole Dillon, Madison Roessler), Matthew Eugene Roessler and Shane Steele (Amelia, Elizabeth).

He is survived by his wife, Karen, children: Kellie, Timothy, Peter, and Matthew. He is also survived by his mother, Genevieve Roessler, sister, Patricia Nusbaum, and brothers: John (Carol) Roessler, and Thomas (Patricia) Roessler, his mother-in-law, Mary Miller, three sisters-in-law and their spouses: Karel and Roland Norton, Suzanne and Jerome Stangler,

and Margaret and Gene Gregor and by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Lynn Richard Roessler, father John Elwood Roessler, grandparents John and Amelia (Pittman) Roessler of Waterville and Elysian, and Christopher Edward and Bridget Frances (Cahill) Jewison, Father-in-Law, Eugene Peter Miller and brother-in-law Jerome Nusbaum.
