Rebecca 'Becky' Kern August 6, 1949 - September 14, 2015

Rebecca "Becky" Kern, age 66, of Faribault, MN, passed away September 14, 2015, at the Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, following an extended illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday for one hour prior to the services at the church.

Rebecca Ann was born on August 6, 1949, in Faribault to Albert "Sonny" and Emma (Woods) Kern. She was married to David "Judd" Stadler, they had three children together, and were later divorced. Since 1989, Becky and Mike Haas had a relationship that joined them in marriage on May 7, 2005. Becky worked in the Faribault School District in special education, was a chemical dependency counselor at the Fountain Center, and also at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Faribault. Becky enjoyed searching for antiques at garage sales, and being outdoors caring for her garden or landscaping projects. She enjoyed spending time and hosting gatherings with family, friends, and neighbors. Becky greatly valued her family and the special times with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Haas of Faribault; children, Jackie Stadler Salaba (Ronald), Ricky (Tina) Stadler, and Randy (Tonja) Stadler, all of Faribault; grandchildren, Jessica, Haley, Adam, Derek, Laney, Paige, Karli, Reed, Olivia, Isaac, Grace, Alex, and Lincoln; step children, Mike (Suzy) Haas and Matt Haas; brothers, Jerry (Sharon) Kern of Faribault, and Terry "Rex" (Chris) Kern of Waterville, MN; sisters, Marie (Dave) Canedy of Northfield and Audrey (Mike) Korbet of Faribault; and by many other relatives friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sonny and Emma; sisters, Judy Farris Smith, and Darlene Kern; and grandson, Blake Stadler.
