Raymond H. Hoschette, age 80, of Faribault, died Friday, August 27, 2010 at the Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, following an extended illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault, with the Rev. Kevin Finnegan, pastor officiating. Interment will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault, with military honors provided by the Rice County Central Veterans Association. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Wednesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to services. The family prefers that memorials be directed to Bethlehem Academy High School or the Divine Mercy Catholic Church Building Fund. Raymond Henry, the son of Martin and Mildred (DeRusha) Hoschette, was born on April 11, 1930 in St. Paul, MN. Ray was raised in St. Paul and attended school there. As a young man he served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. On April 21, 1950 he was united in marriage to Anna Mae Bleise at St. Frances de Sales Catholic Church in St. Paul. Ray worked for Plastics Inc., in St. Paul until 1967 when they moved to Faribault and he started working at Faribo Manufacturing. On July 11, 1980 Ray purchased Faribo Manufacturing and owned and operated this business until 2006 when he sold it to his son Timothy. From this business he became one of the founding members of the Association of Rotational Molders. Ray was a faithful member and supporter of Divine Mercy Catholic Church. He enjoyed traveling and his favorite destination was Hawaii and they traveled their several times. Ray spent time at home gardening vegetables and flowers and at one time was a member of one of the bowling leagues in Faribault. Family was very important to him and he enjoyed the times that they spent together. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anna Mae Hoschette of Faribault; by four children, Louise Premeaux of Newark, Delaware, Timothy Hoschette of Faribault, Raymond E. Hoschette of Faribault and Virginia Becker of Faribault; by 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, by one sister, Virginia in infancy and by three brothers, Martin, Richard and Edward Hoschette.
