Phyllis M. Johnson, age 68, of Faribault and formerly of Waseca, died Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the Faribault Care Center, following an extended illness.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault, with Chaplain Julie Beck officiating. Interment will be held at the Owatonna Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Phyllis Marie, the daughter of Francis and Thirza (Butler) Fiddler, was born on February 13, 1946 in Jo Davis Township, Faribault County, MN. She attended Faribault High School and graduated with the class of 1964. She was united in marriage to Jack Johnson Sr. and they were later divorced. On July 24, 1976 she married Herman "Ed" Johnson. Phyllis worked from 1975 to 2000 at E.F. Johnson and then continued working at Itron until her retirement in 2011. Phyllis enjoyed listening to anything performed by Elvis Presely. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, parades, her horses and other pets, the Minnesota Vikings and Chinese food.

She is survived by her son, Jack (Carla) Johnson of Little Falls, MN; by her grandson, Dallas Nelson; by nieces, Linda (Kevin) Keilen of Faribault and Cindy (Reuben) Navejas of Montgomery, MN; by her nephew, Mike Meech of Waseca and by great nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to all of her wonderful caregivers at Faribault Care Center and St. Croix Hospice.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ed Johnson, daughter, Kimberly Johnson, two sisters, Leona Winterfeldt and Mary Meech, by a brother and sister at birth and by her great nephew, Jonathan Keilen.
