PHILIP M. HASSELQUIST, age 94 of Waseca, died on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca.
Born on May 22, 1924, in Taylors Falls, Minnesota, he was the son of John and Esther (Reed) Hasselquist.  Phil grew up in Almelund, Minnesota, and graduated from North Branch High School in 1942.  After graduation he farmed in Almelund and owned a trucking business.  He married Eyleen Seavey on June 6, 1951, in Minneapolis.  They lived in Almelund until 1953 when they moved to Waseca and he became co-owner of Hasselquist Pontiac Co., later Hasselquist Pontiac Buick Co.  He continued to operate the business until 1982.  He then worked for Hursh Motors in Owatonna and Countryside Motors in Waseca.  In retirement, he and his wife enjoyed spending winters in Texas.  Phil was past-president of the Waseca Chamber of Commerce and had served as co-chair in the development of Maple Terrace.  Phil had been a member of Lakeside Golf Club in Waseca for many years.  He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, and traveling with his wife, Eyleen.  He was a member of Grace Lutheran in Waseca. 
Phil is survived by his wife of 67 years, Eyleen, of Waseca; two children, Gary (special friend, Denise) and Nancy (David) Ross all of Waseca; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one brother.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will take place at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca at a later date.
