Paul R. Kopischke, age 92 of Janesville, died on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Sunrise Cottage of Mankato. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 4th at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville with Rev. Dr. Larry Griffin, officiating. Interment with military honors will be in the Smiths Mill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Janesville, and will continue on Tuesday morning for one hour prior to services, at church. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred. Paul Rueben was born on February 17, 1919 in Freedom Township, Waseca County, Minnesota to Charles and Adeline (Boettcher) Kopischke. Paul attended Trinity Lutheran Parochial School in Janesville, and Janesville High School. He served in the United States Army during WWII from July of 1942 until his honorable discharge in November of 1945. He returned home and on April 15, 1947 was united in marriage to Marcella E. Quast at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Smiths Mill. Paul and Marcella raised their family and farmed for over 30 years in Janesville Township. Paul also served for many years as the Waseca County Supervisor for Jacques Seed Company. During his years with the seed company he was also employed as a rural mail carrier for the Janesville area for more than 20 years. In 1977 they retired and moved to Janesville. He was a life member of the Janesville American Legion Post # 281, the Waseca V.F.W. Sweet-Sommers Post #1642, and the Mankato 40/8 Club. Paul was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville where he held various offices in the church council. He was also a 25 year member and past president of the Janesville Creamery Board. Paul and Marcella and their family enjoyed vacationing in the Hackensack area for many summers. He is survived by his wife Marcella; by his daughters, Karen (Larry) Burke of Janesville, Sue Sheeran of Janesville, Brenda (Dennis) Schultz of Janesville, Ronda Morehead of Janesville, and Lisa Kopischke of Mankato; by his grandchildren, Jessica Burke, Katie Burke, Tim (Arica) Burke, Ben (Cari) Sheeran, Josh (Megan) Sheeran, Zach (Lindsey) Sheeran, Carrie (Ian) Parzyck, Elizabeth (Mark) Mitzel, John Schultz, Christina (Bryson) Havumaki, Courtney (Bryan) Krause; by his 15 great grandchildren; by is brothers Luke Kopischke, and Alvin (Dorothy) Kopischke, his sister-in-law Dee Kopischke and brother-in-law Billie (LouElla) Quast, all of Janesville; by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his
