Patricia D. Caron July 26, 1934 - June 2, 2014

Patricia (Mrs. Roland) Caron, age 79, of Faribault, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014 at the District One Hospital in Faribault following a brief illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday for one hour prior to the services at the church.

Patricia Dorothy Garvin was born on July 26, 1934 in Montgomery, MN to Joseph and Elizabeth (Kennedy) Garvin. After high school, Patricia received nurse''s training at St. Lucas Hospital in Faribault. She was united in marriage to Roland Caron on June 6, 1953 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault. While Roland was in the Army, their family moved to New Jersey, then to Redwood City, California for the next 15 years, before moving back to Faribault. Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren, camping, cooking, fishing and playing cards. She thoroughly enjoyed being a caregiver and started the first group home in Faribault 40 years ago. She had a great love for her dogs, Sadie and Oreo.

She is survived by her children, Pamela J. Russell of Faribault, David R. (Chere) Caron of Freemont, CA, and Kathryn A. (Leon) Sherwood of Faribault; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Eric) Brandt, Alison Russell, Melissa Russell, Eric Caron, Daniel Caron, Chrissy (Scott) Trump, Sara (Jesse) Schlueter, and Amy Sherwood (Adam Velishek); great grandchildren, Emma Brandt, Triston Russell, Hailey Meyer, Brendan Trump, Damon Trump, Kaitlyn Trump, Jesse Schlueter, Brenna Schlueter, Madie Schlueter, Sofia Schlueter, Connor Sherwood, Kenadie Velishek, Harper Velishek, and Riley Velishek; brothers and sisters-in- law, Bonnie Garvin of LeCenter, George (and Delores) Caron of Faribault, Larry Borst of Faribault, Theresa (and Lyle) Hoaglund of Mantorville, Kathy (and Butch) Schwartz of Faribault, Jean (and Lorrie) Finstun of Pine Island, Joe (and Georgie) Caron of Faribault,

Debbie (and John) Olson of Rochester, and Duane Caron of Faribault; and aunts, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland; infant daughter, Gail Caron; parents; sister, Marie (Raymond) Lenz; brother, Joseph Garvin Jr.; twin great grandchildren, Abigail and Noah Brandt; great grandson, Justin Meyer; sister-in-law, Janice Borst; and former son-in-law, Harold Russell.
