Norman T. Roemhildt, age 82 of Janesville, formerly of Waseca, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at the Janesville Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 29th at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville with Rev. Dr. Larry Griffin, officiating. Private interment will be in the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 8 P.M. at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Waseca, and will continue on Saturday morning for one hour prior to services, at church. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church, or donor''s choice.

Norman Theodore was born June 25, 1930 in Elysian Township, Waseca County, Minnesota to Theodore and Clara (Conrath) Roemhildt. He attended Elysian and Waterville Schools. Norm served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War, from June of 1950 until his honorable discharge in April of 1954. He was united in marriage on April 10, 1955 to Barbara Jean Rosenau at the St. Peter''s Lutheran Bell Church in rural Elysian. They lived in Waseca for a few years before moving to St. Paul. Over the years Norm worked as an auto mechanic, then as a pressman for 5 years with Brown Printing in Waseca. For over 30 years Norm was employed with Midwest Printing in Minneapolis. Following his wife''s death in March of 1988, Norm continued to reside in St. Paul. In 1990 he retired and returned to Waseca. Norm met his "guardian angel" and significant other, Marilyn Marsh in 1991. Norm and Marilyn resided in Waseca for several years before moving to Janesville. He was a longtime member of the Waseca American Legion # 228, AmVets, and a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville.

He is survived by his children, Larry (Peggy) Roemhildt of Minnetonka, and Jean Rosenau of Owatonna; grandchildren, Jason (Heidi) Sykes, Jacob (Wendy) Sykes, Joe Sykes, Caitlin Roemhildt, Cameron Reomhildt, and Christian Roemhildt; by his "guardian angel" and significant other, Marilyn Marsh of Janesville; Marilyn's children, Teri (Bob) Quam of Texas, Tami (Jon) Almlie of Belle Plaine, and Jeff Bartz of North Carolina; grandchildren,

Jared Kaupa, Jesse (Willie) Schroeder, Josh Warweg, and Jacquelyn (Allen) Ryan; great grandchildren, Wyatt and Blake Schroeder, and A.J. Ryan; brothers, Dennis (Violet) Roemhildt of Owatonna, and Wayne (Lois) Roemhildt of Waseca; sister, Barbara Melby of St. Peter; nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara; parents; brother, Gilbert Roemhildt; granddaughter, Chelsea Roemhildt.

Casketbearers are Norm''s grandsons: Jason Sykes, Jacob Sykes, Joe Sykes, Cameron Roemhildt, and Christian Roemhildt.

Honorary casketbearers are: Members of Waseca American Legion Post #228.
