Norma O. Wobschall, age 88 of Waseca, died on Friday, January 23, 2009 at Immanuel St. Joseph''s - Mayo Health System in Mankato. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, February 5th at 6:00 pm at McRaith Funeral Home in Waseca with Rev. Vicki Hultine officiating. Interment will be in Woodville Cemetery. The Wobshall Family will greet friends on Thursday afternoon from 4:30 pm until the hour of service, at McRaith Funeral Home. Norma Otilia was born on December 31, 1920 in St. Clair, Minnesota to Herman and Dorothy (Fitzloff) Frank. She graduated from St. Clair High School, and went on to attend Mankato Business College. For three years Norma worked as a telephone operator in St. Clair. On July 29, 1944 she was united in marriage to Carl O. Wobschall at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca. Norma and Carl lived for a short time at Ft. Snelling in St. Paul, before settling in Waseca. Over the years Norma had worked for E.F. Johnson Company in Waseca, and for 25 years for the Busy Bee Caf in Waseca. She was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca, and the Waseca American Legion Auxiliary # 228. She enjoyed flower gardening, her rose bushes, crossword puzzles, dancing, and corresponding with politicians! She is survived by her children, Norman (Marguerite) Wobschall of Fair Oaks, CA, Cheryl (Larry) Neid of Waseca, Charlie (Kathleen) Wobschall of Waseca, and Bonnie Wobschall of Citrus Heights, CA; by her four grandchildren, Ben (Angie) Wobschall, Brandy (Darin) Tanaka, Jared (Natalie) Ruedy, and Bailey Wobschall; by her three great grandchildren Heather, Teya, and Nick; by her sister Hazel DeMars of Mankato She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband Carl in 2008, by her daughter Connie Wobschall; by her sister Alice Warner, and her brother Harland Frank; by her brother-in-law LaVern DeMars.
