Norma M. Weyhrauch March 16, 1924 - December 30, 2013

Norma M. Weyhrauch, age 89, of Minnesota Lake, died peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Waseca Medical Center following a recent illness.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in New Richland, with Pastor Pamela Jensen, officiating. Interment will be held at the St. Joseph''s Community Cemetery in Waldorf.

Visitation will be held at the Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday morning.

Norma Marie, the daughter of Hugo and Teresa (Waknitz) Tolzman, was born on March 16, 1924 in Freedom Township, Waseca County. She attended grade school in Alma City, Freedom Parochial School for two years, then Pemberton High School and graduated with the class of 1941. On June 5, 1942, Norma was united in marriage to Ward W. Weyhrauch at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freedom Township. They lived their entire life on the farm where Norma enjoyed helping Ward on the farm and also raising their children. She enjoyed doing handwork for her family members and lap robes and quilts for nursing homes.

Norma really enjoyed traveling with Ward and her family to Hawaii and many trips to Branson and other family gatherings. Also traveling in Motorhome to many states (Alaska, Florida and others) and spending several months each winter in some southern state, usually Texas. She was a member of the Congregational Church in Pemberton until it closed, and then became a member of the New Richland Congregational Church and Unit III since the middle 60s.

Norma is survived by her husband of 71 years, Ward of Minnesota Lake; her children, Dianne (Doug) Connor of Belvidere, IL, Donna (Frank) Loewen of Mankato, Frank (Bonnie) Weyhrauch of Belvidere, IL, Ronald Weyhrauch of Minnesota Lake, Darla

(Jeffrey) Ross of Sherburn, Dawn Thomez of Waseca, Mark Weyhrauch of Round Rock, TX, and Donette (Scott) Smith of Owatonna; her 15 grandchildren, Melenie (Jim) Reynolds, Michelle (Bob) McGuire, Chad (Brenda) Weyhrauch, Julie (Jeff) Johnson, Corine (James) Wehrle, Tanya Loewen, Jaycob (Betsy) Ross, Daniel Weyhrauch, Ryan Ross, Ashley Thomez, Matt Thomez, Spencer Smith, Taylor Smith, and Preston Smith; 14 great grandchildren, Lucas, Kyle, and Ella Reynolds, Connor and McKenna McGuire, Bennett, Nora, and Ella Weyhrauch, Ava Johnson, Chandler and Ashton Wehrle, Rielle McNicol (Ross), and Jada Thomez; and by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ward Weyhrauch Jr.; and brothers, Gilbert Tolzman and Marvin Tolzman.
