Nicole 'Nikki' Schultz June 14, 1973 - January 31, 2014

Nicole "Nikki" Schultz, age 40, of Faribault, MN, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 31, 2014 at her home, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Faribault. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault on Wednesday from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday for one hour prior to the services at the church.

Nicole Dawn Schultz, was born on June 14, 1973 in Fort Carson, CO to Larry and Loretta (Helgeson) Schultz. She attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Faribault High School. Nikki for many years owned and operated her own housecleaning business in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. She then worked for a number of years at the Uptown Diner in Minneapolis where she had many loyal customers. She also operated her own EBay store and helped with her brother''s siding business. Nikki loved being with people, brightened a room with her presence, and genuinely cared for others. She also was a great animal lover and enjoyed the thrills at Valleyfair.

She is survived by her three children, Tyler Babcock and Nicholas Babcock, both of Faribault, and Jacob Schultz of Edina; her mother, Loretta Meinke of Faribault, and her father, Larry (Darlene) Schultz of Faribault; brothers, Casey Schultz and Willie Meinke, both of Faribault; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Helgeson of Faribault; paternal grandmother, Elsie Schultz of Faribault; special friend, Shane Dunn of Faribault; her mentor, Roger Williams of Bloomington, MN; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other friends.

She was preceded in death by her longtime partner, Tim Brzezinski; aunt, Joan Helgeson- Murie; maternal grandfather, Francis (Bud) Helgeson; and paternal grandfather, Edward Schultz.
