MYRON EUGENE MILLER, age 85, died on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna.
Born in Waseca on September 12, 1931, Myron was the son of Ben an Ellen (Techen) Miller. He graduated from Waterville High School at the age of 16. During his lifetime he worked at several different jobs until beginning construction with Oh Lauglin & Hanson Construction of Rochester. He was married for 66 years to his wife Marilyn Mathison. They had six children together. He went to Florida with L & H for a year. After returning he started his own business - Myron Miller Construction. He later incorporated for the rest of his working years and built approximately 300 bridges. All six of his children and his son-in-law had the opportunity to work with Myron on some of his bridges. His favorite sport was football but his main love was studying the scripture. He also served as an elder and president of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville where he was a member. He was a member of the Faribault Full Gospel Businessmen as well as a Gideon in Waseca for many years. He and his wife had a ministry of the Love of Jesus with the Word and music for ten years in two homes for people with developmental disabilities in Waseca and three more in Waterville. They also served the nursing home and the Golden Era in Waterville. He truly loved talking about the Lord. Myron was in a cancer study for many years with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester up until his death, and his favorite past-time was spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Myron is survived by his wife, Marilyn of Waterville; six children, LaDona (David) Flowers of Owatonna, Jason Miller of Waterville, Deniese (Kenneth) Trebelhorn of Waseca, Ward (Liz) Miller of Brooklyn Park, Myles Miller of Waconia, and Naomi (Special Friend Duane) Miller of Waterville; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lorraine Roemhildt of Faribault. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; and one brother, Clifford Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville, with Rev. David Mumme officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church on Friday. Interment will follow at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville.
