AMELIA "MOLLY" BERTHA PREUSS, age 97 of Waterville passed away on December 1st after a gallant four-year fight against Alzheimers disease.
Born on May 9, 1919 in Waterville, Minnesota, she was the eldest daughter of John and Lydia (Velzke) Schwartz.  Molly grew up in a farmhouse outside Waterville.  She had three sisters, Merle, Viola, and Mabel.  She had a half sister Margaret and half brother James (Jimmy) from her fathers second marriage after being widowed. 
Molly married Glenn Preuss on April 4, 1940. As lifelong entrepreneurs, Glenn and Molly owned and operated Glenns Bakery in Waterville for 38 years and Preuss Bakery in Waseca (later operated by Glenns brother, Donald). They also ran The Corner Bar in Waterville for many years. Molly lived on the beautiful shores of Lake Tetonka for 66 years.
She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville and very active in Ladies Aid. Giving constant love and encouragement to all the family and friends around her, Molly was a bright spot in her family and her community.
Molly was very artistically inclined and enjoyed painting, interior design, music, and fashion.  She was an accomplished bowler; a member of several championship teams in the sixties.  She read the paper and was aware of what was going on in the world. She lived through the Great Depression, WWII, and the Korean and Vietnam wars.  Molly loved Glen Miller and saw one of the Beatles in concert.
She is survived by two sons, Eugene Preuss of Waterville and Randall Preuss (Margo ODell) of Minneapolis and one grandson, Nicholas Preuss of Minneapolis and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings and husband.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 9th, 4-7 PM at Dennis Funeral Home, Waterville. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 10th at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Waterville with Rev. David Mumme officiating. Burial will follow at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville.
