Michael Peters May 23, 1953 - October 24, 2008

Michael D. Peters, age 55 of Faribault, died Friday, October 24, 2008 at his home. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Faribault with the Rev. Daniel Mead and Rev. Steve Priola, officiating. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Wednesday from 4 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to services. Michael Dean Peters the son of Peter G. and Berniece (Meyer) Peters was born on May 23, 1953 in Mountain Lake, MN. He attended Butterfield-Odin High School and graduated with the class of 1971. Following high school Mike attended Southwest State University and later Mankato State University. On October 26, 1974 he was united in marriage to Kathryn Smith at St. James Catholic Church in St. James, MN. They were later divorced. Mike worked for several years as a District Supervisor for Holiday Station Stores and also for 10 years at McQuay International. He is survived by his three children, Megan (Noah) Fuller of Bemidji, MN, Brenda Peters and special friend Nate Brisley of Ithaca, NY and Brad Peters of Faribault; by his mother Berniece Peters of Prior Lake, MN; by two brothers, Keith (Gail) Peters of Waconia, MN and Lauren (Stacy) Peters of Prior Lake, MN; by the mother of his children, Kathy Peters of Faribault; and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.
