Michael J. Marquardt, age 18, of Faribault, died Thursday, May 5, 2011 at St. Mary''s Hospital in Rochester, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Memorial services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Savior''s Lutheran Church in Faribault with the Rev. Steve Delzer, officiating. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday for one hour prior to services. Michael James Marquardt was born on July 22, 1992 in Faribault. He attended school at Waterville-Elysian-Morristown and Faribault High School. Michael had worked different part time jobs and most recently had been working at Brown Printing in Waseca. Michael was a loving and caring person who had a big heart when it came to others. He loved his friends and was always there to help someone when they needed it. He never asked why, he just did it. His friends loved him and his sense of humor, because of this he was known to be quite the prankster. Michael also loved to fish and loved anything that moved, including going for drives, motorcycling or four wheeling. He will be missed by all. He is survived by his father, John (JJ) (Dena) Marquardt of Faribault; by his sister, Skye Marquardt of Faribault; by his Godmother/Aunt, Robin Viskocil of LeCenter, MN; by his mother, Michelle Nordahl of New Richland, MN; by his step brother and step sister, Gordie and Sara Bokman of Faribault; by great grandmothers, Dorothy Kodada of Faribault and Gloria McBride of Madison Lake, MN; by his grandparents, Jim and Susie Marquardt of Faribault and Sherry Nordahl of Morristown and by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael Nordahl, by great grandfathers, LeRoy McBride and Albert Marquardt and by great grandfather and grandmother, Marv and Alice Hornemann.
