Mary Ann Burke, age 87, of Faribault, MN, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Mary Ann Jandro was born on April 17, 1927 in Faribault to Raymond and Catherine (Lonien) Jandro. She was raised in Faribault and graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1944. She and LeRoy Burke were married on October 12, 1948 and raised five children. Besides being a homemaker for her family, Mary Ann helped LeRoy with their business, Burke Implement and Used Cars, as bookkeeper. She and LeRoy were later divorced. Mary Ann worked in the kitchen at the Faribault State Hospital for about 15 years until her retirement. She enjoyed embroidery and playing bingo. Her faith was of great importance to Mary Ann. She was involved in church Rosary Circle, which included making rosaries, and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Holy Spirit Fraternity of Franciscans.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Gary) Bartosch of Medford, Barbara (Craig) Ennis, Gene (Gail) Burke, and Jerry (Melinda) Burke, all of Faribault; nine grandchildren, Todd Bartosch, Jenny (John) Ryan, Jeff (Elizabeth) Bartosch, Amber Burke, Spencer Burke, Dustin Burke, Ellie Ennis (fianc, Tom Katra), Ashley Burke, and Ariel Burke; six great grandchildren; siblings, Leila Parkos and David (Maxine) Jandro, both of Faribault, and Margie (Wally) Matthies of Hewitt, Texas; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter at birth, Julie; son, James Burke; parents; two

sisters, Jandro; Eileen and former O''Connor husband, and Nancy LeRoy Landsverk; Burke. two brothers, Jerry Jandro and Gordon
