MARCELLA CLARA RADKE, age 93 formerly of Waseca, went home to Heaven on Monday, January 23, 2017 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
Born on October 23, 1923 at home in Blue Earth County, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Vernon and Margaret (Brown) Peek.  She attended Hartland Public Schools and Freeborn High School.   Following her schooling, Marcella worked at the Busy Bee Eat Shop and the Powell House in Waseca.  Marcella married Harold Radke in June of 1953 and together they raised four children.   Family and faith were her priorities and once her children were in school, Marcella began working nights at Brown Printing Co.   She loved to cook and bake, play cards, bingo and zingo and work on jigsaw puzzles.   Marcella also loved to socialize with her friends.   She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the St. Agnes Circle.  She was also a member of the Waseca Area Senior Citizens and the Waseca VFW Auxiliary.  In March of 2014 she became a resident of the Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.
She is survived by four children, Barbara Radke of Mankato, Dale Radke of Orlando, FL, Betty Radke, and Harvey Radke of Salt Lake City, UT; and two grandchildren, Brady and Carly Radke.  She is also survived by two sisters, Shirley (Russ) Dahnert of Waseca and Jean Fox of St. Louis Park and numerous nieces and nephews.    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and six siblings, Walter Peek, Irene Weber, Vivian Johnson, Earl Peek, Thomas Peek, and Gerald Peek.
Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 4-6 PM with a 6:00 PM parish prayer service and continue on Friday, one hour before services at the church. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Fr. Gregory Leif officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in New Richland.
