Madeline K. Stimson April 24, 1925 - December 14, 2012

Madeline K. Stimson, age 87, of Owatonna and formerly of Faribault, died Friday, December 14, 2012 at the Owatonna Care Center following an illness.

Mass of Christian will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Owatonna with the Rev. Edward McGrath, officiating. Interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Visitation will be held at the church on Monday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Madeline Katherine, the daughter of Carlos and Loretta (Fugle) Hyde, was born on April 24, 1925 in Waseca, MN. She attended Waseca High School and graduated with the class of 1943. Following high school, Madeline was united in marriage to Enzy Stimson on May 2, 1946 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca. They later moved to Owatonna and started Stimson Upholstering, where they worked side by side for over fifty years. Enzy and Madeline enjoyed family vacations with their children and spending winters in Las Vegas in their later years. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1995. Madeline later married Wilford LaTour and he also preceded her in death in 2001. She enjoyed crafting, knitting, her morning coffee six days a week with her friends for over thirty years and volunteering at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children, Joette (Larry) Louks of Claremont, Carlos (Jean) Stimson of Omaha, Nebraska and Rita (Jay) Lundin of Owatonna; her seven grandchildren, Renae (Rick) Techau, Lisa (Jeff) Hellevik, Damon (Christina) Louks, Brian (Krystal) Louks, Chris (Veronica) Stimson, Nathan Stimson and Lex Gruzebeck; her 10 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Lawrence Hyde, a grandson, Jeff

Stimson in 1983 and by her two former husbands, Enzy and Wilford.
