LUCILLE M. BELOW, age 92 of Waseca died on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Colony Court Memory Care in Waseca.
Born on March 5, 1924 in Wilton Township, Waseca County, Minnesota, she was the daughter of John and Martha (Joecks) Schlaak.  Lucille was baptized and confirmed at St. Peters Lutheran Church in New Richland and attended rural Waseca County schools.   She married Charles Below on June 30, 1945 at St. Peters Lutheran Church in New Richland.  Together they lived and farmed on the Below family farm in Wilton Township until 1977 when they moved to Waseca.  Lucille also worked at Brown Printing Co. in Waseca for 28 years until her retirement.
Lucille was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca where she was active with WELCA, Mary Circle, Altar Guild and the quilters.  She enjoyed yard work, baking, puzzle books, sewing quilt tops and daily early morning walks around Loon Lake.
Lucille is survived by twin sons, Carlin Below of Owatonna and Calvin (Karen) Below of Waseca; daughter, Cheryl (Craig) McDonough of Waseca; three grandchildren, Sam Below, Chad (Cara) McDonough, and Crystal (Jason) Paulson; and six great grandchildren, Jordan, Jewel, and Jameson Paulson, Clay Below, and Grady and Sophie McDonough.   She is also survived by one sister, Delilah Fennert of Waseca; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1999, one brother; two brothers-in-law; and two sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 4-7 PM and continue on Wednesday, one hour before services at the church.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
We would like to thank the staff at Colony Court and Memory Care and Mayo Hospice for the care given to our mother.
