Lowell B. Lindeland, age 84 of Pemberton, died on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at his home, surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Medo Evangelical Lutheran Church in Medo Township, Blue Earth County with Rev. David Danner, Officiate, and Rev. David Wold. Interment will be in the church cemetery following services. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home and Crematory in Janesville, and will continue on Saturday morning for one hour prior to services, at church. Lowell Benerth was born on February 16, 1926 in Janesville, Minnesota to Benerth and Louise (Manthe) Lindeland. Lowell graduated in 1943 from Pemberton High School. On June 16, 1946 he was united in marriage to Elnore Mae Ahlborn at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Zumbrota. Lowell served in the United States Army during the Korean War, from 1953 to 1955. Lowell and Elnore farmed and raised their family in Medo Township, Blue Earth County their entire married life. From 1979 to 1999 Lowell and Elnore wintered in Corpus Christi, TX at the motel they owned, the Sea Shell Inn. For the last 11 years they have spent their winters in Pharr, TX. Lowell was very active in his church, where he had served as chairman of the Sunday school building addition, was a former member of the church council, and former chairman of the church cemetery board. In 1962 Lowell was recognized as Blue Earth County Outstanding Young Farmer, and in 2009 the Lindeland Family was honored as Blue Earth County Farm Family of the Year. For many years he served on the Blue Earth County Soil & Conservation Board. He was also very active in the Pemberton Community and was instrumental in its development over the years. Lowell enjoyed singing, at his church in Lawton, OK during his military duty, with the Medo Ev. Lutheran Church Choir, and as a member of the Pemberton Community Choir and local barbershop quartet. He and Elnore also enjoyed traveling both in the U.S. and abroad, and spent parts of their summers at the family''s Mule Lake cabin near Longville, MN. He enjoyed playing cards, especially 500, and loved his time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Elnore of Pemberton; by his son Lac Lindeland (fianc Deb Bezdicek) of rural Minnesota Lake, and his son Lon (Cari) Lindeland of Chaska; by his grandchildren Jamie (Joe) Sohre, Kendra (Chad) Keiffer, Lucas Lindeland, Lacey Lindeland (fianc Alan Braunshausen), Lauren Lindeland, Alex Lindeland, and Alison

Lindelan; Lindeland. He by was his preceded great grandchildren in death by Landon his parents, and Mason and his Sohre, daughter-in-law and Brea and Lynn Ava Keiffer.
