Lorraine M. Schema October 29, 1923 - May 20, 2014

Lorraine M. Schema, age 90, of Faribault, MN, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault on Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Friday for one hour prior to the services at the church.

Lorraine Marie Becker was the sixth of seven children to George and Susan (Kotz) Becker born on October 29, 1923 in Bridgewater Township, Rice County. She was raised on the family farm and attended country school. Lorraine married Edward Schema on October 23, 1945. They raised their three sons and lived on the farm until 1984, when they moved to Faribault. Edward preceded her in death on September 6, 2002. Lorraine was a farm wife, homemaker and proud grandmother. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Card & Clatter Club, the Faribault Aerie 1460 Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, and the kitchen staff at the Knights of Columbus for years. Lorraine enjoyed playing bingo and socializing at wedding dances.

She is survived by her three sons, Robert (Linda) Schema of Faribault, David (Mary) Schema of Waseca, Ronald (Deborah) Schema of Faribault; six grandchildren, Tracy (Randy) McAdam, Joel Schema & Chrissy Gillick, Jenni Schema & Jeremy Boudreau, Sarah (David) Shannon, Trent (Jodi) Schema, and Tressa (Andy) Lajeunesse; seven great grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; brother, Clement (Imelda) Becker of Farmington; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; parents; brothers, Herbert & Dorothy Becker, Donald & Janet Becker, and George & Donna Becker; sisters, Agnes & Edwin
