Lorraine Marie Quiggle, 95, died November 19, 2012 at Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna, MN spending her final moments surrounded by her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (139 Mercy Dr.) in Faribault, with the Rev. Kevin Finnegan, Officiating. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

The family prefers that memorials be directed to the Homestead Hospice House of Owatonna in memory of Lorraine.

She was born September 5, 1917 in Rice County to Thomas and Melda (Voegel) O''Connor. She was raised on a farm in rural Rice County and attended country school. She developed into a woman of great strength and loving character.

Lorraine was married on July 18, 1939 to Orville Heinrich Quiggle at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault, MN. They lived on a farm north of Morristown, MN where they raised their two children. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and needlework. She was a talented gardener, cook and baker. Her specialty was angel food cake and she loved growing her violets. She loved spending time with her family and her many grandchildren. She was a devoted Catholic and loved her Lord. She was widowed at the age of 57, and she continued taking care of and living on her farm until the age of 92 when she moved into Cedarview Care Center in Owatonna, MN.

She is survived by her children, Joan (Rodney) Johnson of Owatonna, Marlon (Shirley) Quiggle of Faribault, grandchildren, Tim (Karen) Johnson of Owatonna, Char (Daryl) Kubicek of Owatonna, Troy (Lisa) Johnson of Lakeville, Cindy (Steve) Rohwer of Owatonna, Carmen (Mark) Van Osdale of Owatonna, Marlon Quiggle Jr. of Morristown,

great grandchildren, Michael Johnson of Owatonna, Jami Johnson of Waseca, Travis (Krystal) Johnson of Kenosha, WI, Cory Johnson of Owatonna, Trevor Johnson of Owatonna, Jason Kubicek of Owatonna, Kristi Borchert of Denver, CO, Justin (Allissa) Kubicek of Eagan, Tyler Johnson of Ames, IA, Jake Johnson of Lakeville, Sara Johnson of Lakeville, Brittni Rohwer of Lakeville, Nicole Rohwer of Owatonna, Ashley (Ben) Resler of Owatonna, Lacey Hanson of Owatonna, Logan Hanson of Owatonna, great-great grandchildren, Alli Johnson of Waseca, Clayton Resler of Owatonna, Carson Johnson of Owatonna, sisters-in-law, Mary Alice O''Connor of Faribault, Marcella Feneis of Faribault, Marjorie Quiggle of Burnsville, brother-in-law, Ralph Quiggle of Burnsville, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, Floyd O''Connor, Lawrence O''Connor, Marion (O'Connor) Tatge, siblings-in-law, Obert Tatge, Helen Quiggle, Dorothy (Quiggle) and Lester Miller, Harold and Lydia Quiggle, Ruth (Quiggle) and Lyle Thielbar and Donovan Daws, Walter Quiggle, and Gretchen Quiggle.
