Linda Rosenthal

Linda Rosenthal, age 60, of Waseca, died Monday, September 10, 2018 at her home in Waseca.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Church of the Sacred Heart with Fr. Gregory Leif as Celebrant. Private family interment will be at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Church of the Sacred Heart and continue until the beginning of Mass.

Linda Lee (Gerdes) Rosenthal was born on June 18, 1958 in Amboy, the second youngest of 9 children to Wally and Pauline (Killday) Gerdes. She grew up in Waseca, attending Sacred Heart and Waseca High School, graduating with the class of 1976. On May 20, 1978 Linda was united in marriage to Thomas Rosenthal at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca. Together they raised four children and were later divorced. Linda & Tom continued to be great friends. After high school, Linda worked at her dads business, Wallys Cleaners. Linda & Tom owned and operated Depot Liquor for many years. She also worked for Brown Printing and most recently for Winegar, Inc.
Linda loved gardening and doing projects around the house. She enjoyed decorating, especially for each of her childrens weddings. Linda always looked forward to hosting the holidays and spending time with her family, where everyone looked forward to her infectious laugh. She was a hard worker and perfectionist. Linda always found time to help others in need. She will always be remembered as a caring, thoughtful and loving mother. Blessed be her memory.
Linda is survived by her children and grandchildren: Leah (Jason) Frenning and their children: Marly and Elsie of Eagan, Lisa (Landon) Duban and their children: Addie, Jesse, Cole and Andie of Hastings, Jenny (Greg) Sommers and their children: Haylee and Peyton of Waseca, and Seth (Jennifer) Rosenthal and their children: Nora and Samuel of Nashville; good friend, Thomas Rosenthal of Waseca; siblings: Patty (Lance) Starks, Paula Deering, Sharie (Jim) Beck, Dawn Miller, Terrie (Derrick) Hansen, and Kim (June) Gerdes; brother-in-law, Norm Evensen; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Mary Evensen and Gary Gerdes.
