Kenneth G. Becker, age 76 of Dundas, passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 at his home following a sudden illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault, with Fr. Kevin Finnegan, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault on Monday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday for one hour prior to the services at the church.

Kenneth Gilbert was born on May 26, 1937 in Faribault to Mathew L. and Clara (Blatz) Becker. He was raised in rural Faribault and attended Faribault Public Schools. Ken married Roselyn A. Gillen on August 30, 1958 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault. He worked on the building of Interstate 35 from Faribault to Owatonna in the late 1950s and was a lifelong farmer. Ken was a dairy farmer until 1987, then crop farming to the present date in Dundas. For two years he also worked at Minnesota Clean Fuels. Ken enjoyed playing cards, fishing at their cabin near Nevis, and attending his grandchildren''s sporting events.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Roselyn Becker of Dundas; children, Debra (Steven) Wille of Nerstrand, Timothy (Wendy) Becker of Faribault, and Edward (Jill) Becker of Dundas; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Imogene (Hilary) Caron of Faribault, Irvin (Charlotte) Becker of Faribault, Elaine (Dennis) Glynn of Faribault, and Norman (Lois) Becker of Northfield; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mathew and Clara Becker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Divine Mercy Catholic Church or American Diabetes Association in memory of Ken.
