Kathryn Fitzsimmons

Kathryn FitzSimmons, age 78, of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, October 31, 2018, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 AM on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 with a visitation for two hours prior to the Mass all at Church of the Sacred Heart in Waseca. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Waseca.

Memorials are preferred to Sacred Heart Catholic School.

Kathryn FitzSimmons was born on March 2, 1940, in Waseca. She was the 13th of 14 children born to Malcolm and Florence (Anderson) FitzSimmons. Kathryn received her education at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Waseca, graduating with the class of 1959. Following her education, she began a 40 year career at St. Paul Insurance Company in the mail room, retiring in 2000. Kathryn continued to live in the St. Paul area throughout her life.

Kathryn is survived by her siblings: Lois Johnson of Bishop, CA, Jack Fitzsimmons of Waseca, Marge Root of Sequim, WA, Joann Pehrson of Mankato, Richard (Lennie) FitzSimmons of Delano, William (Sandy) FitzSimmons of Waseca, Karen ORourke of Hudsonville, MI, and James (Sharon) FitzSimmons of Prior Lake; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Mary Lou Sotebeer, Francis FitzSimmons, Shirley FitzSimmons, Marion Honey, and Jean West.
