KALVIN KIESLER, age 91 of Waseca died on Monday, January 4, 2016 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Born on July 10, 1924 in Waseca, Minnesota, he was the son of Frank and Esther (White) Kiesler.  He graduated from Waseca High School in 1942.  Kal served in the U.S. Air Force from 1942 until his discharge in 1945.  He continued to serve with the Air Force Reserves until retiring in 1985.  Kal married Barbara Gray on August 16, 1952.   He worked as a rural carrier for the U.S. Postal Service from 1953 until 1979.   In 1972, Kal and Barb started Kieslers Campground which his family continues to own and operate.   He was active on many tourism boards and in 2000 received the Pioneer Award from the Campground and Resort Association.   He was a member of First Congregational Church in Waseca.
He is survived by his wife, Barb; four children, Larry (Jayne) Kiesler, Kathy (Manuel) de la Rosa, Steve (Belinda) Kiesler, and Mike (Lynda) Kiesler; four granddaughters, Kristi (Mike) Corchran, Katie (Kelvin) Nelson, Callie (David) Mann, Jessica de la Rosa; one grandson, Ryan (Kasey) Kiesler; three step-grandchildren; and six great grandchildren, Jayden and Emy Jo Mann, Jovie and Sienna Kiesler, Jameson and Jaxon Corchran.  He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 1:00-3:00 PM
Funeral services will be held following the visitation at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 3:00 PM with a reception to follow.  Private family burial will be at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca at a later date.
