Josephine T. Jewison, age 94 of Waseca, died on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at the Lake Shore Inn, Waseca. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sunday, August 10th at 1:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Fr. Martin Schaefer officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Waseca. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home of Waseca, and will continue on Sunday afternoon for one hour prior to services, at church. There will be a 7:30 Catholic Daughter Rosary prayed Saturday evening, followed by parish prayers. Josephine Teresa was born on March 28, 1914 in Iosco Township, Waseca County to Emil and Josephine (Kapaun) Pfeifer. She attended Waseca County country school in Iosco Township. Josephine was united in marriage to George Harold Jewison on October 3, 1939 at St. Jarlath Catholic Church in Iosco Township. Josephine and George raised their family and farmed near Otisco, and in 1964 moved into Waseca. Over the years Josephine had also worked at Brown Printing Co. in Waseca. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca and the Catholic Daughters of America-Court Sacred Heart # 1424. Josephine spent much of her life devoted to caring for her extended family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, her love of music and playing the piano, and time spent with her family. Josephine is survived by her children James (Diane) Jewison, Jack (Lan) Jewison, Donald (Nancy) Jewison, David Jewison all of Waseca, Gerald Jewison and Pat of Nevada, TX, and Patricia (Joseph) Bartz of Ontario, CA; by 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and her great, great grandson; by her special daughter-in-law Katie Pfeifer and the Pfeifer Family; by her brother James (Emma) Pfeifer of Tampa Bay, FL, and by many nieces and nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband George on Sept. 30, 1995; by 2 grandchildren, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
