Joan D. (Hardel) Nordwall, age 46, died on January 1, 2010 at her home in New Prague. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 7th at 12:00 noon at Prior Lake Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Groschel, officiating. Interment will be in the St. John''s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Rural Glencoe. Joan''s family will greet friends on Thursday morning from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the Prior Lake Baptist Church in Prior Lake. McRaith Funeral Home and Crematory of Waseca is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred. For on-line condolences to www.mcraithfuneralhome.com Joan Darleen was born on August 3, 1963 in Arlington, Minnesota to Maynard and Darleen (Klaustermeier) Hardel. She was a graduate of Bloomington Kennedy High School. On November 15, 1989 Joan was united in marriage to Michael Nordwall in Pensacola, FL. Joan and Mike resided in Pensacola until 1999 when they returned to Minnesota. Joan enjoyed crafts and jigsaw puzzles, and time spent with her daughter. She is survived by her husband, Michael Allen Nordwall and her daughter Brittney Michelle Nordwall, both of Janesville; by her mother Darleen Hardel of St. Paul; by her brother Michael Hardel of Aurora, CO, her sister Gail Huschke of Virginia Beach, VA, and her brother Bryan Hardel of Bloomington; by her father-in-law and mother- in-law Jim and Lonna Nordwall of New Prague, and her sister-in-law Michelle (Aaron) Hopkins of Burnsville; by her aunts and uncles, neices and nephews, cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Maynard Hardel August 31, 1964.
