HILDA “JEAN” PEREZ, age 77 of Waseca died on Friday, January 8, 2021 at her residence.

Born on March 14, 1943 in Sauk Center, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Frank Olson and Madeline Snodgrass. Jean was raised by Archie and Madeline (Snodgrass) Hauskins. She attended school in Albert Lea and later received her GED. Jean married William Witter and they were later divorced. She lived in the Mankato and Janesville area for much of her life. Jean was employed with Land O’Lakes until her health forced her to retire. She then was a stay at home mother to her children. Jean married Eli Perez and they also divorced.

She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, collecting pop can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. She also enjoyed going to the casino and eating at the buffet. Jean was a natural care giver. She loved to help others and her door was always open to help those in need. She was loved by her family and friends. Jean will be dearly missed. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville.

Jean is survived by her children. Mike (Norma) Witter of Janesville, Mark (Christina) Witter of Annandale, Teresa (Terry) Chesney of Pemberton, John (Melinda) Hanson of Madison Lake, Jennie (Jeremiah) Gardiner of Waseca, and Robert (Megan Bronstad) Shifflett of Janesville; 21 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Joanne Winter of Fairmont and Patsy (Robert) Schewe of Blue Earth; and one brother, William Cleaveland of Arizona. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gerald and Robert Cleaveland; and one daughter, Sandra Witter.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Private family services are being held following visitation. dennisfuneralhomes.com
