Janet 'Jenny' Schubbe February 25, 1933 - December 1, 2015

Janet "Jenny" Schubbe, age 82, of rural Pemberton passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at her home following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Medo Lutheran Church with Pastor Laurie Stoeger officiating. Interment will be held at Medo Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Arnoldt- McRaith Funeral Home in Janesville and for one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor''s choice.

Janet Ruth, daughter of Fred and Alice (Compton) Oftedahl, was born on February 25, 1933 in Medo Township, Blue Earth County. She attended and graduated from Pemberton High School in 1951. She was united in marriage to Glenn Schubbe on December 23, 1955 at the Congregational Church in Pemberton. She and Glenn lived in rural Pemberton where she worked as a homemaker and took care of her family. Jenny enjoyed sewing, crafts, and cooking. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren who were very special in her life.

Jenny is survived by her husband, Glenn Schubbe of Pemberton; children, Craig Schubbe of Fort Mead, SD, Gary (Linda) Schubbe of Janesville, LeAnne (David) Bennett of Valley Spring, SD, and Wade (Amber) Schubbe of Garden City, MN; 8 grandchildren; sister, Darlene (Eugene) Ward of Florida; and by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Alice Oftedahl; children, Jeff and Troy Schubbe; brothers, Ernest, Floyd, Robert, and Charles; and by her sisters, Vernell and Betty Lou Oftedahl.
