James Richie October 24, 1943 - October 20, 2009

James A. Richie Jr., age 65 of Faribault, died Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault with the Rev. Frank Roach officiating. Interment will be held at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault. James Alfred Richie Jr., the son of James Sr. and Evelyn (Delesha) Richie, was born on October 24, 1943 in Faribault. He attended Medford High School and graduated with the class of 1961. After high school he served in the U.S. Army. Following his service time, Jim worked as a cabin maker and wood worker his entire life. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and all outdoor activities. He is survived by his brother, Larry (Becky) Richie of Faribault; by two sisters, Mary (Wally) Zastrow of Long Prairie, MN and Susan O''Mara of Chicago, IL and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
