James Lockner July 4, 1939 - February 19, 2011

James J. Lockner, age 71 of Faribault, died Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the District One Hospital in Faribault. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, in Faribault. Interment will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault. James Joseph, the son of Aris and Marion (Langer) Lockner, was born on July 4, 1939 in Faribault. Jim was a resident at the ESI, now LSS, Homes for many years. Jim worked in the greenhouse at the Faribault Regional Center and also at the Rice County Activity Center. Jim recently retired from the Owatonna Career Center, after 20 years of caring for the grounds there. Jim loved being outdoors and enjoyed working in the yard and gardening. He was an avid Twins fan and was able to attend many games with friends and family. He is survived by his brother, Mike (Debbie) Lockner of Faribault; by two sisters in law, Mary Kay Lockner of Faribault and Joanne Lockner of Owatonna and by aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews. Jim is also survived by his caregivers and friends over the past years at ESI and LSS. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John "Jack" Lockner and Larry Lockner.
