JAMES DAVID SYBILRUD, age 67 of Waseca died on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in Eden Prairie.

Born on January 24, 1951 in Waseca, Minnesota, he was the son of Tony and Ruth (Bosacker) Sybilrud.  He graduated from Waseca High School in 1969 and went on to graduate from Mankato State University with a degree in education.  Jim married Cheryl Manthe on June 17, 1971 in Waseca.  He was employed as a marketing manager at the E.F. Johnson Co. until his retirement.  Jim enjoyed fishing, golf, music, art, and cooking.  He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl of Eden Prairie; two sons, Dustin (Gabrielle) Sybilrud of Eden Prairie and Andrew (Lindsay Glesener) Sybilrud of St. Paul; and three grandchildren, Skylar, Ezra, and Noah.  He is also survived by his mother, Ruth Sybilrud of Waseca; sister, Toni (Linden) Bauleke of Waseca; sisters-in-law, Denise Manthe, Kathy Manthe, Susan Miller, and Jena Manthe; brother-in-law, Thomas (Beth) Manthe; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father; brothers-in-law, Steve and Allan Manthe; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Nathalie Manthe.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca with Rev. David Baumgarn officiating.  Visitation will be held on Monday from 12:00 PM until the time of services at the church.  Burial will take place at a later date at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca. 
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research.
