Jacelyn "Jackie" Haley, 80 year old resident of Waseca, passed away Friday morning, June 1, 2018, in Waseca.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Church of the Sacred Heart in Waseca, with Fr. Gregory Leif as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Jarlath Catholic Cemetery in Iosco Township, Waseca County, Minnesota.

Visitation will be from 4:00 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Starkson & Steffel Funeral & Cremation Service ~ McRaith Chapel of Waseca and continue for one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Friday.

Jacelyn Lee Francis was born on August 21, 1937 in Elk River, Minnesota to Leo and Antonia (Iverson) DeMars. She graduated from Mankato High School in the class of 1955. Jackie enjoyed attending dances with friends, at one such dance she met her future husband.
Jackie was united in marriage to Mark Haley on October 22, 1960 at St. John the Baptist Church in Mankato. They farmed and raised their family on their St. Mary Township farm.
Jackie loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed attending church activities, praying the Rosary, listening to music and reading. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca.
She is survived by her children, Roger (Tammy) Haley of Waseca, Ron Haley of Burnsville, Jerome (Marcia) Haley of Waseca, Sharon Haley of Minneapolis, Paul Haley (special friend, Shawn Stoley) of Janesville, Sue (Jeff) Scruggs of Mankato, Dan (Lora) Haley of Waseca, Mary (Colin) Hames of New Ulm, Carol (Joel) Leonard of Mankato and Tom Haley of Waseca; grandchildren, Andrea (Alex) Hoehn and Kelsey (Rory) deGanahl, Andrew Haley, Ben (Karin) Chip, Haley, Nathan and Jason Scruggs, Courtney (fianc, Chris Atkinson) Romain, Dylan Romain, Matthew, Sarah and David Haley, Katie, Megan and Michael Hames, Elise, Valerie and Xavier Leonard and Rachel Haley; great-grandchildren, Karlan and Kiliahna Scruggs, Lucas Hoehn and Margot deGanahl; sisters, Shirley Fitzloff of Mankato, Jan Ellis of Waseca, Kathy (Tom) Wright of Reston, VA and Pat (Tony) Staloch of Janesville; brother-in-law, Bob Kulseth of Mankato and sister-in-law, Helen Haley of Waseca.
Jacelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Toni DeMars; husband, Mark; brother, LaVerne DeMars; sisters, Joyce (Bud) Hill, Donna (Jack) Danberry, Rose Marie (Jim) Loeffler and Darlene Kulseth; brothers-in-law, Jim Fitzloff, John (Rita) Haley, Kenneth Haley, Lowell Ellis; parents-in-law, Oscar and Loretta Haley.
