Helen M. Kramer November 16, 1923 - December 28, 2014

Helen M. Kramer, age 91 of Faribault, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, in Faribault. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Helen Mary, the daughter of Pachomy and Sophie (Kuszma) Karpik, was born on November 16, 1923 in Cloquet, MN. On August 28, 1947 she was united in marriage to Arthur DeGezelle in Duluth, MN. They would later move to Faribault and Helen worked at various jobs including, Garfield School as a cook and at MSAB as a House Parent and a program assistant. Art preceded her in death on July 29, 1986. On June 24, 1989 Helen married Maurice Kramer at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. They enjoyed many years together until Maurice''s passing on December 1, 2006. Helen enjoyed time spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Helen had a special bond with her granddaughter, Kate (Tim) Tonjum and was able to have a very special and close relationship with her great grandsons, Nicholas and Grant Tonjum. This added much joy to her life and theirs.

She is survived by three children, Suzanne (Michael) Zabrocki of Faribault, James (Valerie) DeGezelle of Faribault and Robert (Laurie) DeGezelle of North Mankato, MN; by 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; by a special friend Julie DeGezelle Anderson and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, her daughter, Dorothy

DeGezelle four brothers. in 1964, her great grandson, Ben Tonjum, four sisters, a sister in infancy and
