Harold R.Anderson, age 97 of Eagle Lake, MN, passed away, Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Janesville, MN following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, with the Rev. Paul Muther and Rev. Larry Griffin, officiating. Interment will be held at the Janesville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and will continue at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to services.

Harold Roy, the son of Jim and Etta (Boss) Anderson, was born on February 22, 1917 in Lake Preston, South Dakota. At the age of 14, Harold moved to the Waseca/Janesville area at the urging of his brother and was a hired man at a farm and also worked for other farmers in the area. On May 19, 1943 he was united in marriage to Bernice Steinke at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. After their marriage, Harold and Bernice began farming Bernice''s family farm in LeRay Township and still lived there to this day. Bernice preceded Harold in death on March 14, 2007. Besides farming, Harold also worked for a short time at Bird''s Eye in Waseca. Harold enjoyed going to dances with Bernice, going to auctions, doing custom hay baling, hunting and spending time with his family.

He is survived by two children, Ivan (Sandra) Anderson of Janesville, MN and Ivagene (Roger) Kobylinski of Waseca, MN; by five grandchildren, Jared Anderson, Angelie Welvaert, Rick, Mark and Janine Kobylinski; by eight great grandchildren, Brittany and Payton Anderson, Conner, Brennan and Norah Welvaert, Elise, Myra and Cora Jean Kobylinski; by three step grandchildren, Isaac, Anakin and Allie; by his brother, Robert Anderson of Washington; by two sisters, Mary Ann Tounsley of South Dakota and Edith Steffenson of Washington and by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, grandson Nathan Anderson, a
