Gwendolyn Renee Chicos

GWENDOLYN “GWEN” RENEE CHICOS, age 46 of Waseca, died unexpectedly at her home on the morning of Thursday, March 24, 2022.

Born in Waseca on July 24, 1975, Gwen was the daughter of Steven and Renee (Hoban) Buker. She attended school in Waseca, graduating with the class of 1994. On November 10, 2001 she was united in marriage to Chad Norman Chicos at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca. Together they made their home in Waseca and raised three beautiful daughters. Gwen enjoyed reading, shopping, camping, daycare (she loved kids), attending craft shows, and loving on her cats and her dog, Mia. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca.

Gwen is survived by her devoted husband of twenty years, Chad of Waseca; three daughters, Mackenzie, Kaylee, and Allison Chicos of Waseca; her mother, Renee Buker of Waseca; her father-in-law Norman Chicos of Claremont; two siblings, Amanda Buker of Waseca, and Tiffany Sharpe of St. Louis Park; and siblings-in-law, James Twaddle of Kasson, Thomas (Shelly) Twaddle of Owatonna, Ronald (Judy) Twaddle of Kasson, Jon Twaddle of Pennsylvania, Susan (Steven) Hondl of Owatonna; and many nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Steven Buker; mother-in-law, Marcia Chicos; grandparents, Gerald Hoban, Darlene Hoban, Rachel Hiers, and Loren Buker; and two uncles, Rick and Dennis Buker.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca, with Rev. Jillene Gallatin officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church.
