Gerald Ferry April 15, 1927 - November 29, 2010

Gerald D. Ferry, age 83 of Waseca, died on Monday, November 29, 2010 at Lake Shore Inn of Waseca. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca, with Rev. Debra J. Collum officiating. Interment will be in the Woodville Cemetery, Waseca. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home and Crematory in Waseca, and will continue on Monday morning for one hour prior to services at church. Gerald Dewey was born on April 15, 1927 in Steele County Minnesota to Dewey and Lydia (Busho) Ferry. Jerry was a graduate of Waseca Central High School. On November 24, 1947 he was united in marriage to Jean A. Palm at Vista Covenant Church in New Richland. Jerry and Jean lived their entire married life in the Waseca Area. For much of his career Jerry was in implement sales, first with Ferry & Kuyper Implement in Waseca, the later with Borchard Implement in New Richland. For the last several years of his career Jerry was a salesman for Nelson Realty in Waseca. Jerry was a former member of the Waseca Lions Club, and was a longtime committed member of Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca. In his early years he enjoyed checkering and woodworking on gun stocks, and was always puttering'' in his work shop on their hobby farm. Jerry is survived by his wife Jean of Waseca; by his son, Bruce (Jean) Ferry of Maplewood; by three grandchildren, Holly (Ron) Mulvaney and Ryan Ferry all of Hugo, and Heather Ferry of River Falls, WI; by three great grandchildren, Madison, Kaitlyn and Mitchell; by his brother-in-law Richard Palm of Waseca, and his two sisters-in-law, Hazel Bethke and JoAnn Palm, both of Waseca. He was preceded in by his parents; by his brother Donald (Beulah) Ferry; by two brothers-in- law Kenneth Palm and Wallace Bethke, and his sister-in-law Marjorie Palm.
