George Dee Mcintosh, Sr.

GEORGE DEE MCINTOSH Sr., age 62, of Waterville, died on Monday, August 10, 2020.

George was born on May 6, 1958, in Pacifica, California to William and Ila (Railsback) McIntosh. He attended school in Ogallala, Nebraska. In 1978 he met Kathy Amos and together they started a family, having two children. George worked as a line man for many years traveling with his family throughout the country for work before settling in Comstock, Nebraska for ten years. In 2005, he moved to Red Wing, Minnesota where he worked for various places in south eastern Minnesota. It was in Red Wing where George met Jeanne Moss and they have been companions ever since. He later moved to Waterville where he began working for the union in Mankato as a Journeyman Steamfitter. His job with the union gave George many experiences that he cherished as he worked at various locations throughout Minnesota.

George enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being outdoors with nature. He also liked playing guitar and riding his motorcycle. George was a hardworking, gentle soul who enjoyed the simple things in life. He cherished his family, especially his grandchildren.

George is survived by his children: Nicole and her husband, Edi Anthony of Omaha, NE, and George McIntosh Jr. of Waterville; stepchildren: Daniel Parker of Kearney, NE and Ian Anderson of Waterville; five grandchildren: Edem, Elom and Grace Anthony and Jason and Ezra McIntosh; his companion for the past 15 years, Jeanne Moss of Waterville; and a multitude of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings: Robert and Paul McIntosh.

Private family services will be held.
